To answer the denial of critical supercomputing needs for the nation by the United States of America, C-DAC was conceived with a project based mission to deliver a supercomputer that could be indigenously designed and developed.

Over the past years, C-DAC has successfully delivered a number of supercomputing frameworks, systems and applications under the PARAM range of supercomputers.

PARAM PADMA, the latest in the offering to the nation's growing needs for supercomputing infrastructure has been a crowning achievement in the history of C-DAC.

Project Management has become a 'way of life' at C-DAC. To augment the concepts of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®), it was necessary to forge an alliance with one of the best in imparting education that could be customized to C-DAC's requirements.

S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) stepped in as the major partner in our continuing quest for excellence. The Institute engaged in a series of surveys and focused on assuaging the organizational readiness to incorporate the Project Management framework.

Participating in the workshop were members representing middle management to senior management. The experiences of the workshop were shared with C-DAC's apex management and following that a Project Management Task Force was set up to present certain implementation methodologies related to the organization.

Every organization is built up on associations and range of mutually benefiting scenarios that leads to a synergistic realization of value. The C-DAC and SPJIMR association is a manifestation of this symbiosis.
