The additional roof insulation works just like a cap. It is adding to your comfort, similar to the solar film. This will not stop your car from getting heated, since the heat enters through the front wind screen but it will help cool the car when you turn on your air conditioner. It will stop the heat retention on the roof. This means that now the same air conditioner will take a lesser time to cool your vehicle.
